An Evaluation of how Cybersecurity Competition engagement creates a talent pipeline.

Established in 2016, the Bay Area Cyber League coordinates Summer CyberCamps and Fall & Spring Cybersecurity Competitions for high school and community college students in the greater Bay Area region.

With funding from the National Science Foundation ATE Award #2100121 and the Bay Area Community College Consortium (BACCC) Strong Workforce Program our Mission is to help our students, and by extension our communities, become safer technology users and guide them towards a career in Information Technology/ Cybersecurity.

Our program is a National Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2018-2019 Champion, Data Privacy Day Champion 2019 and Center of Excellence since July 2018 as awarded by the Air Force Association. Our program is also the lead for SkillsUSA Cybersecurity competition in California and Florida.

Any high school or community college team within the Bay Area region is welcomed to join us. There is no cost to join nor technical specifications required. We ask that students have an interest in cybersecurity and a champion teacher at each school site.

Teams outside of the Bay Area region are welcome to contact us to explore participating in our competitions and additional resources.
